We are looking for a technician with great commitment and technical competence for the Department of Assistive Devices for Medical Treatment at Home at the Assistive Technology Center in Skövde.

Job Description
Your work as a technician at the Assistive Technology Center is about patient safety and good service. You contribute with your teamwork skills and technical competence to provide our customers with assistive devices for medical treatment at home. The majority of the work is performed independently, but you are also part of a team with other technicians in our workshop where job rotation is applied.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Various service interventions, such as refurbishment, functionality checks, goods reception, delivery, and corrective maintenance of assistive devices
- Preventive maintenance in the workshop and with individual users
- Documentation in the IT support system Sesam2 for recording all activities
Once you become comfortable and familiar with our product range, you may also be involved in our procurement work. Travel in the job may occur.
To provide good service in the role of technician, you need to:
- Have a good attitude and be service-oriented
- Work well with others
- Be able to work independently and in a structured manner
- Have good communication skills
For the position, you are required to have completed a high school education with a technical focus combined with work experience that has given you documented technical knowledge. Furthermore, you communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and your computer skills are very good. You learn easily and can work in various IT systems. A B driver's license and good driving experience are required for the position.
Experience in healthcare and knowledge of data/electricity are considered meritorious for the position.
About Us
The Assistive Technology Center is part of the Welfare Administration within the Västra Götaland Region and is a competence and logistics center for the 49 municipalities, as well as the Västra Götaland Region's own operations. We are located in Borås, Mölndal, Skövde, and Uddevalla.
Our service offerings are based on the needs of healthcare providers for both in-depth knowledge in the field of assistive devices and various service offerings to support the healthcare chain. We handle purchasing, storage, distribution, as well as service and maintenance of assistive devices. We also assist prescribers with, among other things, assistive device counseling, individual fittings, adaptations/special adaptations, as well as study visits and training.
We offer you a developing workplace where you receive introduction, training, and good employment conditions. As part of our team, you as an employee lay the foundation for a functioning healthcare system.

The position is a permanent employment with placement at the Assistive Technology Center in Skövde. Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
